Kindle Fire owners can lend Harry Potter e-books
Amazon.com bought an exclusive license from author J.K. Rowling’s Pottermore electronic book business (begins June 19 and includes e-books in English) to make all seven Harry Potter e-book available to lend through the Kindle e-readers and tablets like Kindle fire.
“We’re absolutely delighted to have reached this agreement with Pottermore. This is the kind of significant investment in the Kindle ecosystem that we’ll continue to make on behalf of Kindle owners,” said Jeff Bezos, founder and CEO of Amazon.com.
Subscribers of the Amazon Prime service, can borrow (the deal only allows for borrowing of the ebooks) the electronic versions of Harry Potter e-books. in other words The series, which cost about $87 in retail, can now be “borrowed” for free, from any Kindle Fire.
